Increased Opportunity for Girls = Less Opportunity for Traffickers

Providing girls with an education is one of the key components in combating human trafficking.  Of the 27million children out of primary education in impoverished countries, 16 million are girls.  In their recent meetings with Federal Members of Parliament in Canberra ACRATH acknowledged the efforts that Australia has made in improving access to education in developing countries and asked that more of Australia’s Overseas Development Aid be used to support girls’ education.
