ACRATH Member Receives Prime Minister’s Asia Award
Congratulations Brianna
Western Australian ACRATH member Brianna Lee has been selected as one of 20 Australia postgraduate students to receive a 2013 Prime Minister’s Asia Award.
Brianna is currently undertaking her Ph D investigating the barriers that victims of human trafficking face in accessing services in Australia. The Prime Minister’s Asia Award will allow Brianna to broaden the context of her research and deepen her understanding of trafficking in persons through a year long program of research and cultural immersion. As well as her Ph D and course work, Brianna will be undertaking an internship with the women’s centre, Fountain of Life, in Pattaya, which is run by the Good Shepherd Sisters.
ACRATH is delighted for Brianna that she will have this enriching experience. We look forward to benefiting from her experience when she returns to Australia.
