Against Gender-based Violence
Each year ACRATH amplifies the call of the international 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign to challenge violence against women and girls – specifically in terms of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery. This amplification is expanded throughout the remaining 349 days of the year, every year.
The United Nations 16 days of activism begins on 25th November – International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and ends of 10th December – Human Rights Day.
ACRATH has provided a number of resources to assist communities, workplaces, parishes and schools in taking part in the campaign. Click here to access posters, stories of activism, a film clip, prayers and reflections.
Join ACRATH at 1pm (Melbourne, Canberra Sydney time) on 10th December – Human Rights Days – for a one-hour prayer and reflection zoom gathering. To participate, please join the Zoom Meeting using the following link:

One of the prayer and reflection gathering organisers, Bernard Dobson, said that we are reminded in Genesis 1:27 that ‘God created humankind in God’s own image’ and that this is a foundational passage guiding all of us to treat others with equal dignity and respect.
