Two Years After the Rana Plaza Collapse
In April 2013 the Rana Plaza factory collapse resulted in the death of over 1,100 workers with thousands of others maimed for life. Following the collapse unions, non-profit organisations and industry groups developed the Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh. Eight of Australia’s top 10 Fashion companies have committed to this accord.
