Australian Ambassador to the Holy See

On 3rd June 2025 H.E. the Hon. Keith Pitt was received in audience by Pope Leo XIV as he presented his credential letters as Australian Ambassador to the Holy See. One week later ACRATH member, Noelene Simmons sm, met with Ambassador Pitt to re-acquaint him with ACRATH’s advocacy issues. ACRATH had met with him some years ago in his role as a member of the Australian Parliament.

In the meeting Noelene spoke about the challenges and exploitation migrant workers experience especially in regional Australia and also the need for a National Compensation Scheme for victim survivors of Modern Slavery.
