Celebrating Women Leaders
During ACRATH’s well attended Zoom Breakfast Celebrating Women Leaders participants heard from Sr Clare Condon sgs, President of ACRATH, and ACRATH member Sr Elizabeth Young rsm. Both women spoke frankly about the recent Plenary Council of the Australian Catholic Church. They gave expression to the gender and power imbalance that currenty exists in the Church but also their hope that the dialogue begun through the Plenary Council process will continue.
They challenged participants, especially the women present, to be agents for change, to let their voices be heard so that ongoing conversation will continue and lead to actions that witness to the equal dignity of all the baptised within the ecclesial community.
