Day Against Trafficking

UN-Day-Against-Trafficking
Today is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons!

ACRATH staff, members, volunteers and wider community, along with Talitha Kum and UNANIMA International, are taking part in the United Nations Blue Heart Campaign encouraging the community to Have a Heart for the victim/survivors of human trafficking.  The Blue Heart symbol represents the sadness of those who are trafficked, while also reminding us of the cold-heartedness of those who buy and sell fellow human beings.

This year’s theme, “Use and abuse of technology”, focuses on the role of technology as a tool that can both enable and impede human trafficking.

Today, we encourage you to take part. Here are some ways you can support the campaign:
  • share, like and support our message in the comments
  • stay informed and protected online. Read and share the safety tips provided by the UN https://www.unodc.org/unodc/en/endht/internet-safety-tips.html
