Decent Work for All

The 61st Commission for Social Development (CSocD61) will be taking place from February 6th – 15th at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and online at UN Web TV. This year’s theme is “Creating full and productive employment and decent work for all as a way of overcoming inequalities to accelerate the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. This is a theme that sits comfortably with ACRATH advocacy around the prevention of forced labour.
Each year, the NGO Committee for Social Development writes and disseminates a Civil Society Declaration for signature among NGOs and greater Civil Society. The declaration will be read during the opening session of CSocD61. Individual and organisations are invited to sign the declaration.
