Eradicate Modern Slavery
Unfortunately, the incidence of modern slavery in Australia is increasing. According to the Global Slavery Index report, the number of individuals living in modern slavery in Australia has more than doubled in the past four years. The international human rights organisation Walk Free estimates that there are currently 41,000 people living in modern slavery in Australia.
ACRATH is dedicated to eradicating modern slavery, specifically human trafficking, and addressing the harm it causes. Our efforts include providing support, advocating for victims and survivors of modern slavery, and raising awareness. As we approach the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons on July 30, 2023, we are actively working to raise awareness. The theme for this year is “Reach every victim of trafficking, leave no one behind.”
