Human Rights Abuses in Modern Life

ACRATH members Gemma and Maureen attended the launch of the Forrest Research Foundation’s Perth Dialogue series and welcomed the opportunity to connect with the Anti-Slavery Commissioner, Chris Evans. Each speaker shed light on the issue of human rights abuses embedded in modern life, highlighting the exploitation of vulnerable workers in the production of everyday goods. The paper urges governments, businesses, investors, and consumers to acknowledge their role and take responsibility for addressing this critical issue. ACRATH was grateful to participate and support this call to action as we continue our efforts to support our mission to eliminate modern slavery.
