The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence is observed from 25th November to 10th December. Human trafficking and modern slavery are forms of Gender Based Violence. According to the UNODC Global Report on Trafficking in Persons 2020 for every 10 victims detected globally, about five were adult women and two were girls. The November page of the 2021 ACRATH Calendar refers to one aspect of modern slavery -servitude. Servitude is when a person does not consider them self free to stop working or leave their workplace, because of threats, coercion or deception; and the person is significantly deprived of their personal freedom in their life outside of work.
