Promotion and Protection of Human Rights in Conflict Situations
Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women & Children
The thirty-second session of the United Nations Human Right Council, in response to the thematic report of the Special Rapporteur on trafficking in persons, especially women and children, in conflict and post conflict situations, has put forth a number of recommendations to member States. The Council adopted the recommendations without a vote on 30th June 2016. The decision of the Council was based on a conviction that there is a “need to protect and assist all victims of trafficking, with full respect for the human rights and dignity of the victims.” Download a copy of the Document here.
