Stolen Wages! Common?

Conversation-in-May-2022-post

The May edition of the ACRATH Conversation Series focused on the issue of stolen wages. Learn from Sherry Balcombe, an Olkola / Djabaguy woman from Far North Queensland, from the Aboriginal Catholic Ministry as she takes us through her detailed personal experience and stories of Aboriginal people who have worked without pay and their fight for compensation. Historical exploitation’s harms are ongoing and continue in the current day, for some it leads to a perpetual cycle of poverty and dependence.
