Stop Trafficking!

The October 2024 edition of Stop Trafficking! highlights human trafficking in the hotel industry.  The hospitality industry is highly vulnerable to traffickers, especially when it comes to child sexual exploitation, forced prostitution, forced criminality and forced labour in hotels and their supply chains. According to the Polaris Project, 75% of human trafficking survivors report having come into contact with hotels during their trafficking experience. At the same time, the European hospitality industry estimates there are 1.14 million victims in the industry, with 80% for sexual exploitation and 20% for forced labour in restaurants, bars and hotels.
