Take Action in June
ACRATH is grateful to our many donors who make it possible for work against human trafficking and modern slavery to continue. Your support has enabled us to collaborate with others in bringing about systemic change such as visa reform and the passing of a Modern Slavery Act as well as providing companionship and support to survivors. Despite the hard work over many years there is still much to be done. ACRATH is currently advocating for the following issues:
- Signing the ILO protocol: Decent work for domestic workers
- Increasing Australia’s ODA (international aid) and targeting it to tackle injustice and poverty (causal factors for human trafficking)
- Licensing of National Labour Hire companies
- A national compensation scheme for survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery
