Taking Action Together
The Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department, in partnership with the Australian Institute of Criminology, hosted the 2023 Modern Slavery Conference from 27-29 June in Melbourne.
ACRATH Executive Officer, Christine Carolan, was a presenter at the conference. ACRATH staff and members had a strong presence. The theme of the conference was Taking Action Together. The Conference promoted the participation of victims and survivors of modern slavery, government, civil society, business, unions, academia and the broader community all working in partnership to prevent, combat and end modern slavery.
It was an incredible opportunity to connect with a room full of individuals who were committed to taking action together. ACRATH is proud to represent this important work.
The address given by the Attorney General, the Hon Mark Dreyfus KC MP, at the conference can be accessed here.
