Women Ambassadors Unite in Orange
Women ambassadors from around the world united in orange to raise awareness for the United Nations’ Orange the World campaign, marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls. As a bright and optimistic colour, orange represents a future free from violence against women and girls.
On November 29th the ambassadors had the opportunity to meet with Pope Francis. Australian Ambassador to the Holy See, Chiara Porro, helped secure a spot for Christine Carolan, ACRATH EO, to join this momentous occasion.
