Achieve Gender Equality and Empower Women and Girls

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals includes one goal on gender equality. Goal 5 – Achieve gender equality and empower women and girls – has nine targets, one of which aims to “eliminate all forms of violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres, including trafficking and sexual and other types of exploitation”

The Women Thrive Alliance, a global feminist advocacy network with the aim of making gender equality a reality, has released an SDG5 Toobox. The toolbox contains fact sheets and suggestions for action. Download a copy of the Toolbox here.
